Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Claval Hunter accepted the call to pastor in the Central States Conference of Seventh-day Adventist in early 2010.  On February 4th, 2012, he became the pastor of The Lighthouse SDA Church.  His ministerial purpose is to give spiritual and inspirational servant leadership to the Church through challenging preaching, Biblical teaching, and meaningful worship so that the people will be moved to apply their faith into their everyday lives.  He possesses a pastoral heart filled with compassion, empathy, wisdom, understanding, and Christ-like love, eagerly desiring to visit and pray with and for God’s people.   He is committed to being a person of prayer, a servant leader, a team player, a visionary leader, and committed to the truths of the Bible.

Pastor Claval Hunter has preached and participated in many evangelistic efforts throughout North America and abroad, which have led to numerous baptisms and souls being won to Christ.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ministerial Theology from Oakwood University in Huntsville Alabama, and a Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University SDA Theological Seminary in Berrien Springs Michigan.

Pastor Claval Hunter is a native of Nassau, Bahamas. He is married to the former Christina Fisher from Chicago, Illinois by way of Berrien Springs, Michigan. Together they have one daughter, Chloe and one son Isaiah. As a family, they enjoy spending quality time together, traveling, music, and working together in ministry for the Lord.

His favorite bible text is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Yours in Christ,
Pastor Claval I. Hunter, MDiv.

Our Mission

The Mission of The Lighthouse SDA Church is to disciple and empower our members to be ministers, who lead others into a meaningful and saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our Beliefs

Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. These beliefs, as set forth here, constitute the church’s understanding and expression of the teaching of Scripture. Revision of these statements may be expected at a General Conference session when the church is led by the Holy Spirit to a fuller understanding of Bible truth or finds better language in which to express the teachings of God’s Holy Word.

Our Vision

The vision of The Lighthouse SDA Church is to be a body of transformed Christian believers who embrace, nurture, and provide refuge for all
